"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. ~1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
It is always a good time to be praying. During this transitional time in our church, it is especially a good time to be praying. Change is never easy; it can lead to growth, but often means something "dies" in the pruning process. There can be a season of waiting for the new buds to emerge.
It is always a privilege to pray with our musical groups each week as part of our preparation for worship. And then we get to sing, make music, and rejoice! I do often have that sense of "those who sing, pray twice."
What has God laid on your heart to pray for? Do you find you have no words at times? What burdens are you aware of that need prayer? Are you finding it hard to pray, let alone rejoice?
During the month of August, there will be a unique opportunity to meet for a short time of prayer right after our time of rejoicing in worship. Members of the prayer team will gather for a short time of prayer near the organ bench immediately after the Postlude music. If you desire prayer for yourself, for others, and for our church... come join us! Prayers will remain confidential each week. No need to sign up; just join in as the spirit moves you.
